Job Description
Our facility is in need of a part-time Transport Paramedic at Miller County Hospital Wound Care Department.
JOB SUMMARY:
Under the supervision of the Wound Care Manager, the Paramedic is responsible for providing transport services for patients for hospital services and monitoring patients during transport in collaboration with nursing and respiratory therapy. The Paramedic shall cover the range of services provided in a medical treatment facility in accordance with O.C.G.A. and 31-11-59 which outlines the services of Paramedic in hospitals and defined hospital specific duties. In addition, the paramedic promotes and restores patient health and the overall patient experience by collaborating with physicians, RNs, respiratory therapy, and multi-disciplinary team members and providing support to patients, families, and significant others.
EDUCATION, CREDENTIALS & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
High school graduate or possess a General Educational Development (GED) Degree.
Graduation from a Paramedic training program
Required minimum licensure/certification:
Certified Paramedic by the National Registry and Licensed by the state of Georgia.
Current BLS certification
Current ACLS certification
Current PALS certification
One years’ experience as a paramedic in the field or in a hospital setting.
