We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Monitoring and Evaluation Officer to support our programs. The M&E Officer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine and manage AMI's impact assessment methodologies and data collection tools, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and best practices in monitoring and evaluation.Interpret data collected from primary and secondary sources, apply statistical techniques to analyze results, and produce ongoing reports tailored to different programs. Ensure accuracy and relevance of analysis to drive informed decision-making.

Refining and Managing Impact Assessment: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine and manage AMI's impact assessment methodologies and data collection tools, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and best practices in monitoring and evaluation.

Testing and Refining Learning Model: Provide support in testing and refining AMI's learning model, incorporating feedback from stakeholders and leveraging insights from data analysis to enhance effectiveness.

Data Analysis and Reporting: Interpret data collected from primary and secondary sources, apply statistical techniques to analyze results, and produce ongoing reports tailored to different programs. Ensure accuracy and relevance of analysis to drive informed decision-making.

Data Acquisition and Maintenance: Acquire data from diverse sources, both primary and secondary, clean and consolidate datasets, and maintain a robust data repository that supports business needs.

User/Participant Engagement Analysis: Deliver accurate analysis and trend observations on user/participant engagement and behavior, providing valuable insights to project managers to optimize program outcomes.

Strategic Information Support: Collaborate with the M&E Manager to prioritize information needs, ensuring that data-driven insights inform evidence-based decisions at both strategic and tactical levels.

Data Visualization and Presentation: Assist in developing innovative data visual presentations that facilitate easy interpretation and utilization of data in reports, enhancing stakeholder understanding and engagement.

Dashboard Preparation and Updates: Prepare and maintain data dashboards to support project quality reviews, such as project team meetings, monthly overview meetings, and project reporting, ensuring accessibility, quality and relevance of information.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Statistics, Economics, Social Sciences) required; Master's degree preferred.

Proven experience in monitoring and evaluation, data analysis, and reporting, preferably in a development or education-focused organization.

Proficiency in statistical analysis software (e.g., SPSS, R, Stata) and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI), as well as strong skills in Excel and Google Sheets.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and communicate findings effectively to diverse stakeholders.

Experience in implementing M&E plans, including designing data collection tools and methodologies.

Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and build positive working relationships.
