The company has an R&D team with an established track record in the pharmaceutical development of small molecule protease inhibitors, world-leading expertise in the role of plasma kallikrein in disease, and a management team with the capability to bring small molecules through the clinic to commercialization.

KalVista seeks an Accounting Manager, which is critical to the organization's mission as it prepares to commercialize sebetralstat, a novel, oral plasma kallikrein inhibitor. KalVista recently reported positive results from the KONFIDENT Phase 3 study which demonstrated that sebetralstat met all primary and secondary endpoints for the on-demand treatment of HAE attacks and the safety profile was comparable to placebo. The Company plans to submit a new drug application to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in the first half of 2024 and expects to file for approval in Europe and Japan later in 2024.

As the Accounting Manager, you will be a key member of the Finance team. You will manage the day-to-day aspects of the general ledger and a timely month-end close process. Duties will also include assisting with preparing financial statements and fulfilling reporting requirements, as well as directly managing system implementations and the related processes and procedures.

Responsibilities:

Assist with General Ledger and Monthly Close

Prepare clinical trial accrual and other accrual reconciliations

Revenue recognition and GTN accounting

Assist with SEC Reporting as needed

Assist with the implementation of manufacturing module for our ERP system

Track and reconcile Commercial inventory

Requirements:

6-8 years relevant Accounting experience with 2-3 years of Commercial Life Sciences experience required

Public accounting experience preferred

Experience with Sage Intacct

Experience with AvidXchange or Coupa

Proficiency in Excel required

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
