Your Role as a Direct Support Professional:

As a DSP, you'll:

Provide compassionate and personalized support to individuals with special needs, assisting them in their daily activities and promoting independence.

Foster a safe and nurturing environment that encourages growth, development, and social interaction.

Collaborate with families, care advocates, and healthcare professionals to create individualized care plans and ensure continuity of care.

Assist with personal care, medication management, and other activities of daily living as required.

Implement therapeutic strategies and behavior management techniques to support individuals with challenging behaviors.

Accompany individuals in their community, recreational activities, and appointments, ensuring their engagement and inclusion.

Qualifications:

Passion for working with individuals with special needs and a genuine desire to make a positive impact in their lives.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with individuals, families, and their advocacy teams.

Patience, empathy, and the ability to adapt to varying needs and situations.

High school diploma or equivalent. Additional relevant certifications or training are a plus.

Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license may be required for some positions.
