Key Duties of a Sheet Metal Mechanic / Technician:

· Sheet metal technicians are responsible for crafting, constructing, installing, and maintaining sheet metal goods and structures, such as ducts, roofs, and gutters· Collaborate with a variety of materials, including aluminum, steel, copper, and other metals, to produce items for industries like construction and manufacturing· Utilizing tools like saws, riveters, and welding equipment, they complete their tasks efficiently· Ideal candidates for sheet metal technician roles must possess strong problem-solving skills to address any challenges encountered during installation or repair projects.· Proficiency in blueprint interpretation, welding, and soldering is essential, as is being in good physical shape

Special Skills & Knowledge Required:

· Requires a High School Diploma or GED· May require lifting, pushing or pulling of objects over 50 pounds
