United Pet Care is a rapidly growing leader in the pet healthcare industry. We are a pet insurance alternative with no exclusions, pre-existing conditions, age/breed restrictions, waiting periods, claim forms or denials. We are a two-sided network which connects thousands of veterinary practices with pet parents from local employer groups via a voluntary benefit offering. UPC (United Pet Care) has been in business for over 25 years, acquired three years ago by a new group of investors who are focused on (and funding) national, rapid growth. We are looking for an experienced Broker Account Executive who will establish, nurture, and expand new and existing business relationships with Employee Benefits brokers to drive increased employer adoption of United Pet Care as a voluntary benefit. In this role, you will serve as a trusted advisor, partner, and ambassador to our broker partners, from one-on-one sales meetings to office- and company-level presentations.

Main Job Duties:

Support UPC's continued growth by executing against our strategy for initiating, nurturing and growing broker relationships

Educate brokers on our product, differentiating features and value proposition

Provide brokers with strategic guidance and expertise related to the UPC program and its implementation

Collaborate with brokers and employer clients on best practices to maximize employee participation in the program’s first year of implementation

With your manager, create broker incentives and competitions to help drive broker behaves in support of new business goals

Leverage best-in-class tech stack (Salesforce, Zoominfo, Engage, Chrous, Benefit Flow, and more) to manage your book & forecast performance

Meet and exceed RFP generation goals and other monthly activity metrics

Communicate with brokers on an ongoing basis to monitor and support progress

Travel (~25%) required to visit brokers, employer groups, attend conferences and visit the home office in Tempe, AZ (if remote)

Requirements:

Must live in the Phoenix AZ metro or Southern CA area

High performer with a proven record of exceeding quota/expectations

3+ years of relevant experience in the Employee Benefits space

1+ years voluntary benefits knowledge and experience

Previous experience as a benefits broker or consultant is ideal but not required

A proven ability to activate and optimize channel relationships

Highly organized and detail oriented, with exceptional presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills

Self-starter with exceptional interpersonal communication and organizational skills

Experience managing pipeline with CRM software (ideally Salesforce) a must

Microsoft Office proficiency

Ability to succeed in a fast-based, dynamic environment – start-up / small company experience is preferred but not required
