The Controller will maintain and provide financial records in accordance with GAAP and provide strategic review and insights that will help guide the direction of the organization. This position will prepare and meet with the CFO, COO and President to review financial reports.

Job specific details include: Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, monthly balancing of accounts, preparing deposits, and accurate financial recordkeeping using QuickBooks. This position will provide accurate and timely financial reporting as required by the CFO, COO, President, and other key stakeholders.

This position will also serve as a Human Resources backup as needed, maintaining employee records, payroll reporting (using Paylocity), as well as administering and overseeing employee benefits. This person will work with department heads to maintain a problem-free work environment and will be responsible for ensuring that the organization complies with local, state, and federal applicable codes, regulations, and standards about operations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Manage accounts payable and cash disbursement procedures

· Manage accounts receivable and cash receipts procedures

· Perform monthly bank and credit card account reconciliations

· Reconcile inventory sub-ledger to general ledger

· Prepare and post monthly and quarterly closing entries

· Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements and reporting packages

· Prepare for the annual CPA and bank audit

· Manage expense reports and reimbursements

· Provide reports to CFO and President as requested

· Help to coordinate bi-annual physical inventory

· Other accounting or bookkeeping duties as required

· Provide back up to for HR and PayrollRequirements:

Qualifications:

· Proven Experience as controller or similar role

· Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.

· In-depth knowledge of dealership accounting principles and financial best practices.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
