Position: Machine Operator - Food Industry

Department: Production

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday

Work Hours: 2nd Shift (2 pm - 10 pm)

Starting at: $19 +

Job Summary:

As a Food Production Machine Operator, you'll be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining machinery to ensure top-notch production. Your role is pivotal in maintaining efficiency, quality, and safety standards while leading the charge toward meeting our production goals daily.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Set up and oversee machinery for efficient production.

Monitor and adjust machine settings for optimal performance.

Conduct periodic tests to ensure consistent product quality.

Troubleshoot machine issues and maintain a clean workspace.

Collaborate with the team for smooth operations.

Operate machines and ensure they run smoothly.

Add specified ingredients for product specifications.

Perform Quality Control inspections on finished products.

Conduct facility checks on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.

Observe and adjust controls to maintain product specifications.

Record data in production logs.

Maintain and clean machinery using hand tools.

Load and unload products for processing and cleaning.

Utilize measurement tools effectively.

Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor, including cleaning tasks.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently with meticulous attention to detail.

Proficient understanding of production procedures and equipment.

Commitment to maintaining high safety standards.

Strong leadership and communication skills within a team environment.

Education and Experience:

High School diploma or equivalent.

Mechanical skills and experience in a manufacturing environment (preferably 1-2 years).

Knowledge of health and safety regulations.

Previous food manufacturing experience is a plus.

Bilingual proficiency in English/Spanish is advantageous.

Qualifications:

Proven experience in a fast-paced environment with a focus on quality and safety.

Ability to comprehend and communicate effectively in English.

Basic math skills and ability to work weekends and holidays as needed.

Prior proficiency in equipment uses and operation.

Preferred:

Two years of food production experience.

Familiarity with PLC-controlled equipment.

Essential Physical Requirements:

Manual dexterity to handle equipment.

Capability to stand, walk, squat, and perform repetitive tasks.

Ability to comprehend instructions and lift items of varying weights.

Adaptability to work in diverse environments and surfaces.

Note: Ensure compliance with GMPs and maintain a clean work environment.
