Vermont Information Processing India Pvt Ltd. (VIP India) is looking for an Infrastructure Manager (Linux/Network) for design, configuration, and support of Windows and UNIX based servers (Virtual Machines) and network infrastructure (Switch / Router / Firewall / VPN). This candidate will be a part of the Internal Systems Team, which designs, monitors, and troubleshoots all Internal Systems related issues at VIP India. This position requires working in the form of service tickets. Must be located in Mumbai, India. Relocation unavailable.

Responsibilities:

Configure and install various network devices and services

Monitor network infrastructure like ASA firewall, routers, Cisco switches, and schedule preventive maintenance

Guide system / network engineer to troubleshoot and resolve network and laptop issues

Guide system / network engineer to manage virtual machine infrastructure (using XCP-ng / VMware)

Help in troubleshooting, diagnostics, monitoring, patching, and upgrading the OS of application and network servers

Help in monitoring server infrastructure for alarms, failures in terms of diskspace, and coordinate corrective actions

Guide system / network engineer in managing apps like SVN, Mercurial, Request tracker, Trac, OCS, etc (Apache / Perl / Python based)

Manage user level access to various hosted apps and databases (svn / trac etc) based on requests and approvals

Manage software and hardware Asset inventory

Manage and mentor junior team members involved in network/hardware/software support

Work with senior stakeholders to provide effective service and support

Follow SOC2 Type 2 processes and maintain evidence as required for SOC2 Type 2 compliance audits

Coordinate with vendors for annual subscriptions for Office 365, VPN AnyConnect license, and AMC

Coordinate with vendors for laptops, servers, switches, and routers

Essential Technical Skills:

Hands-on experience implementing and administrating network devices, setting and maintaining policies and rights / security within a Windows Server environment

Knowledge of installation and configuration of Cisco Firewall (ASA), Routers, Switches, Wireless Access Points, VOIP

Installation and configuration of Cisco VPN

Knowledge of Microsoft Online 365 administration and troubleshooting (emailing, licensing, etc)

Experience in managing Windows Server Active Directory

Working experience of Linux and Shell scripting and technologies like Apache, NGINX

Understanding networking and related concepts in the Networking domain like VPN, Firewalls, LDAP / Active Directory, Mail server, encryption

Basic knowledge of Windows workstation / Windows Server / Windows Services, such as DHCP, WSUS, DNS

Ability to do monitoring of VMs hosts, troubleshooting, installations of Physical Hosts, creation of VMS, online backup / offline backups of VMs

Experience of server and laptop installation and problem resolution in a Linux, Windows 10/11, Windows 2022 server environment

Good written and verbal communication skills

Team-player, customer-centric, self-motivated, driven by quality

Willingness to learn new technologies and maintain industry knowledge

Desired Technical Skills:

Experience in setting up multiple virtual LANs and DMZ

Ability to do hardware level diagnosis and troubleshooting

Monitoring skills in Zabbix or Nagios

Experience of dealing with vendors for purchase of software / hardware

Prior experience of handling SOC2 Type 2 audits

Educational Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree (preferably Science graduates) from a reputed university

Any additional technical certifications viz CCNA, MCSE would be very helpful

Experience:

Candidates should have 8 to 12 years of relevant experience, out of which more than 2 to 4 years should be in a managerial / lead role
