About the Role

• Ensuring all payroll transactions are processed efficiently.

• Maintains payroll information by collecting, calculating, and entering data.

• Coordinates with the timekeeper to ensure that the correct schedule, overtime, leave and other important details are recorded in the system.

• Implements change in salaries and benefits, staff loans, and other relevant deductions.

• Resolving Payroll discrepancies, employee queries and complaints relating to payroll

• Ensure confidentiality of all payroll records and transactions

• Responsibility for verifying and uploading employee time and attendance data, ensuring correct input of employee number of each entry and ensuring posting to the correct payroll period.

• Responsibility for processing the pay run for the employees of the group in Australia from input data up to and including the preparation of EFT bank files.

• Responsible for preparation and lodgement of all payroll taxes, PAYG, superannuation and Workcover insurance returns and payments.

• Responsibility for maintaining employee payroll records.

• Prepare payroll associated general ledger journals entries and provide supporting data to the financial accountants to enable the general ledger to be reconciled to the payroll system.

• Ensures the payroll system, ELMO, is maintained and is the key contact for resolution of system problems with the system provider, Frontier Software.

• You will be resilient and show incredible leadership skills.

What you need to have

• Bachelor’s Degree

• 5+ years post qualification experience in Payroll

• Highly organized with a high attention to detail

• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial computations and records maintenance

• Experience in developing financial models and providing decision support in a complex organization.

• Tertiary qualifications in Business, Accounting, or Commerce

• Experience using a large ERP system is essential preferably SAP.
