Childcare / Preschool Teacher

Life Academy in Roanoke, VA is looking for Teachers to join our team! We currently are looking to hire for several positions; some part time, some full time, and multiple age groups.

We are located on 7422 Deer Branch Rd. in North Roanoke County. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, punctual, and engaged. We are a well-established Christian preschool offering high-quality childcare with a Bible-based and spiritual emphasis in every age group and area.

Responsibilities

The center is open from Monday - Friday between 7:00 am - 6:00 pm

You'll be assigned a group of students to work with on a consistent basis, with a set schedule, with occasionally being asked to help sub as needed. We prioritize working together as a team and being flexible to achieve the best outcome for our students!

You'll plan, coordinate, and implement developmentally appropriate activities for the children in your care following a state-approved curriculum with FREE training provided to you!

You'll provide a positive and nurturing learning environment to the children in your care, ensuring they know that learning is fun!

You'll engage with parents in a professional manner regarding their student's development.

Qualifications

Experience working with children (ideally children under the age of 5)

Ability to remain calm, patient and positive with students

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

Have a love for children and a desire to positively impact their lives

CDA or degree in Education or Early Childhood is desired but not mandatory.
