We are currently seeking a highly skilled Plant Controller to join our team in San Antonio, TX. This role offers the opportunity to lead financial accounting processes, ensure compliance, and contribute to the overall success of our plant operations.

Main Responsibilities:

Lead the preparation and execution of the monthly financial accounting closing process.

Ensure timely and accurate completion of financial statements on a monthly basis.

Implement and manage standard costing and cost accounting processes.

Collaborate with the financial planning and analysis team on corporate budgeting, capital budgeting, and other analytical analysis.

Oversee the accounts payable and receivable function, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

Lead the reconciliation process for bank/cash accounts, balance sheet accounts, and inventory.

Manage the fixed asset system to ensure proper accounting for capital expenditures and depreciation.

Assist with the year-end financial audit process.

Manage a small staff of 1-2 accounting professionals.

Assist with the staffing process, including recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding.

Develop training materials and performance management programs to ensure employees understand their job responsibilities.

Investigate employee issues and conflicts and bring them to resolution.

Ensure the organization’s compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in accounting; CPA preferred.

5+ years of professional experience in accounting, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

Expert in working with Excel; strong proficiency and consistent user of PowerPoint and Word (as well as the rest of MS Office Suite).

Experience with standard costing and cost accounting processes.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and integrity.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities effectively.

Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) preferred.

Knowledge of US GAAP and experience with financial reporting requirements.
