About the Role

You are primarily responsible for the administrative support to the Directors of Haematology and Microbiology within St Vincent’s Pathology and the operations of their relevant teams. You will be accountable for providing clerical and administrative support to these senior staff and their departments to ensure the effective running and to ensure they achieve their strategic goals.

Duties include:

Manage proactively the Directors of Haematology and Microbiology diaries, communications (including with government agencies for legislative compliance, correspondence/results, appointments, plan/schedule internal/external meetings/functions/work travel arrangements as required

Prepare reports/agendas and take/draft minutes for relevant meetings and committees

Perform general administrative/clerical tasks

Classifications for this position will range from classification range HS2 - HS21 ($66,768- $72,134 per annum).

Your Contribution

At least 1 years’ experience as a Personal Assistant or similar role with demonstrated experience in the provision of a full range of high level administrative support to senior management

Some previous experience in a health care provision setting/handling confidential health care information

Excellent communication skills with a demonstrated ability to work with a range of key stakeholders to develop effective relationships and partnerships

Demonstrated organisational and time management skills with the capacity to determine priorities, meet deadlines and flexibly balance competing demands

Excellent computer skills with a range of software packages including Microsoft Office suite

Current National criminal history check, or willing to obtain

About Pathology

St Vincent’s Pathology provides diagnostic medical testing/transfusion service to both patients of St Vincent’s Private Hospitals located in Fitzroy, East Melbourne and Kew and St Vincent’s Public Hospital Fitzroy and other campuses, as well as servicing privately referred patients from over 50 Pathology Collection Centres located across Metropolitan Melbourne. St Vincent’s Pathology is a member of a multidisciplinary health care team which delivers care in a patient focused manner.
