HR Coordinator (Full Time - 18 month Contract) - Mississauga, ON

Scope:

Part of the Total Rewards team is to support the administration, deployment and ongoing coordination of HR policies, initiatives, programs and plans for; leaves management, benefits, retirement and employee services.

The HR Coordinator is responsible for the day to day administration and delivery of Linde Canada’s disability management programs (Short Term, Long Term, Worker’s Compensation), and other legislated and unlegislated leaves (Leave(s)), working with the respective subject matter experts on Benefits, Retirement plans/programs and general Human Resource (HR) policies and procedures. Providing guidance and support to HR Business Partners (HRBP), Employees, Retirees, HR Operations (Communication; Payroll & HRIS functions), business operations and external third-party administrator (TPA) on program and policy matters. Reporting to the Manager – Benefits & Employee Services, the Coordinator will be an integral HR team member, collaborating to add value and deliver excellent service.

Key Responsibilities:

Responsible for supporting all HR activities, by providing support to field HRBPs in assigned regions

Serves as main point of contact for employees, retirees and managers contacting the centralized toll-free hot lines and email box regarding benefits, pension, policies, programs, etc. Researching and providing suggested solutions to low-medium employee inquiries in a timely manner. This may require communication and coordination with different internal departments and/or external TPA. Directing complex inquiries to the appropriate resource.

Main contact supporting all Leaves in assigned regions, successfully partnering with HRBP, business operations and TPA to effectively coordinate all leave requests/disability claims including general administration(compiling letters and forms, ensuring pay accuracy etc.), full cycle case management (updating tracking sheets, reporting and invoices reviewing etc.) and program compliance (company policies, legislations etc.).

Maintains appropriate contact with all employees on Leave and assists in the coordination of the Return to Work (RTW) program.

Liaise with TPA and work with the Benefits and Pension Specialists on general day to day administration of the Benefits and Retirement plans, assist with Benefits and Retirement enrollment administration and communication.

Coordination and maintenance of other internal programs including; Anniversary Awards, Education Assistance, Relocation and Wellness program.

Maintain HRIS records to ensure accurate and timely information/documentation

Interpretation and creation of SAP system change forms to support HR transactions (employee and org changes, leaves, RTW, termination, etc.)

Assist with special projects/initiatives and other duties as assigned

Skills and Abilities:

Ability to effectively communicate (verbal and written) HR initiatives, policies and procedures and expected to provide optimal solutions.

Exceptional organizational and follow-up skills, superior attention to detail and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.

Interpersonal warmth and compassion with demonstrated ability to deal with confidential/sensitive information.

May be called upon to perform complex assignments

Problem solving and analysis skills.

Qualifications:

Completed post-secondary HR related Degree/Diploma/Certificate or equivalent HR related experience

Minimum 3-5 years HR work experience, minimum 2 years direct disability management experience

Bilingual Fluently in French/English is an asset

Previous experience supporting both non-union and unionized environment

Strong Computer skills - MS Office, experience with SAP is an asset
