About the Role

The RFP Marketing Coordinator is an analytical and administrative position responsible for the end-to-end project management of Brown & Brown Non-Medical General Agency Team (NMGA) coverage marketing efforts dedicated to one specific carrier. The RFP Marketing Coordinator coordinates and tracks all new business and renewal marketing efforts for assigned offices/carriers so that they are achieved on time, accurately, and completely.

This is a non-exempt role with a target salary of $20-22/hourly.

Essential Duties

Prepares request for proposals for existing clients and new business prospects in coordination with NMGA workflows and local Brown & Brown Office using the Agency Management applications and RFP Software tool.

Gathering and managing all the necessary information to build, analyze and present to the specific carrier the Request for Proposal (RFP), analyzes the carrier proposal, and integrates proposal for carrier comparatives to the local Brown & Brown offices.

Works collaboratively with Carrier Sales Representatives, Carrier Renewal Representatives and Underwriters, taking direction to achieve deliverables.

Remains informed regarding new products, legislation, market trends, underwriting guidelines, and additional industry information.

Maintains RFP log to track New Business and Renewal Marketing activities. Furnishes updates and results to Management for purposes of attaining Carrier Partnership goals.

Notifies NMGA Team of carrier and/or industry changes that may affect current or new clients and develops efficient, creative ways to share this information.

Performs other administrative duties as required.

Skills Required

College degree preferred; HS diploma or its equivalent required.

Knowledge of insurance rating and underwriting principles.

Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex information.

Advanced Microsoft Office 365, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills.

Ability to maintain and research electronic files on the agency’s Agency Management Systems.

Strong organizational and analytical skills with the ability to prioritize while maintaining a high attention to detail.

Responsive and self-motivated team player with the ability to communicate verbally and in writing with others to explain complex issues, receive and interpret complex information, and to respond appropriately.

Preferred:

Knowledge of insurance markets with understanding of Group Benefit Plans

Knowledge of Federal and State Laws that impact employers (i.e., COBRA, HIPAA, FMLA, ERISA, etc.)
