My client is seeking an Employee and Labour Relations Specialist to join their dynamic team in Zimbabwe. Reporting to the Head of People and Labour Relations, you'll play a crucial role in providing professional employment law and employee relations services within the framework of Zimbabwean and Malawian labour laws. Role's Purpose:
As our Employee and Labour Relations Specialist, you'll be instrumental in handling all employment law aspects, including disputes and disciplinary matters. Your primary focus will be on promoting a fair and balanced approach while ensuring compliance with regulations in Zimbabwe, Malawi, and potentially other African countries. Working closely with leadership teams and the wider Human Capital team, you'll drive projects and programs aligned with our ER strategy and key objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive employment law and employee relations services
Handle disputes, disciplinary matters, and promote a fair approach
Ensure compliance with regulations in Zimbabwe, Malawi, and other African countries
Drive projects and programs aligned with ER strategy and objectives
Collaborate with leadership teams and the wider Human Capital team
Engage stakeholders effectively to achieve organizational goals
Qualifications Required:
Completed LLB and relevant Human Resource Degree (non-negotiable)
7+ years of Employee and Labour Relations experience
Financial services industry considered an advantage
Experience working in multinational organizations across Africa and EU
5 years of experience in Employment Tribunals, Labour Court, and Collective Bargaining
5 years of disciplinary management experience
