Foreman - Concrete - DAILY per diem if traveling from out of the area!

This job will be for projects specifically on Tyndall AFB. You MUST be able to pass a background check in order to be Badged on the base. Daily per diem if traveling!

Concrete Foreman

Hourly: $28 to $30 a hour

Job Description

Manage all aspects of commercial concrete construction to include layout, installation of foundations walls, formwork, rebar, fine grading, slab pep, SOG placements, SOMD, elevated slabs and site concrete.

Assemble all necessary materials, equipment and tools for the project.

Schedule concrete with accurate placement times and yardages in advance according to specific concrete plant guidance.

Possess knowledge of concrete mix designs, admixtures, finishing aids, curing, and hot/cold weather placements and procedures.

Maintain schedule and effectively communicate updates to all applicable parties.

Forecast schedule a week ahead to ensure proper communication and planning.

Forecast and communicate project needs to General Superintendent.

Adhere to and enforce safety guidelines, hazards and solutions.

Ensure compliance with contract documents and oversee quality control for the duration of the project.

Manage and provide training to crew members.

Responsible for daily crew meetings that outline the day’s tasks and goals.

Check, check and re-check elevation, rebar, and formwork prior to concrete placement.

Document purchases of materials, measure and record daily progress, fill out and submit daily reports, record and submit crew members hours and production.

Skills

Five years of verifiable experience as a Commercial Concrete Foreman.

Ability to understand and communicate contract documents and scope of work, read structural plans.

Proficient in using software, such as Procore, sending and receiving email, Microsoft Excel and Word.

Solid written and verbal skills. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.

Knowledge and adherence to OSHA guidelines.

Responsible, reliable, and punctual.

Polite and courteous to others.

Motivational team player and leader.

Dedication to safety and quality.
