Packer

Peoplelink Staffing Solutions, in partnership with a prominent paper manufacturer in the Brook, IN area, is seeking packers to join their team! This facility offers a wide range of full-time perks such as full benefits, 401K, and profit sharing!

Packer Job Summary:

Pay: $16.64 an hour

Shifts Available:

Swing Shift: 7:00 AM-7:00 PM, swings to 7:00 PM-7:00 AM every four weeks

2-2-3 Rotation

Sort, grade, weigh and inspect products, verifying and adjusting product weight or measurement to meet specifications

Monitor the production line, watching for problems such as pile-ups or plugged dryers and stackers

Shovel, sweep, or otherwise clean work areas

Inspect finished products for quality and adherence to customer specifications

Load materials and products into package processing equipment

Clean containers, materials, supplies or work areas, using clean solutions and hand tools

Measure, weigh and count products and materials

Work with various plastic bundle wrapping machines when assigned

Hand stack product as needed

Work in harsh conditions (hot, cold, wet, etc)

Packer Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED is required

Able to do lifting, pushing, pulling (up to 40 lbs) during the shift

Must be able to stand, lift, twist, bend, climb, etc

Work holidays (other than Christmas) if assigned (paid at OT rate)

Ability to multi-task, read and comprehend, maintain good attendance in a fast-paced work environment
