Software Upgrade Specialist

Expert Technical Solutions has an immediate, HYBRID (3 days a week onsite: Tuesday – Thursday) opening for a Software Upgrade Specialist for one of our premier clients based out of St Charles, Missouri (63303). This person will be responsible for delivering a positive customer experience while implementing upgrades on our client’s software products.

This is a permanent position offering competitive salary and excellent benefits.

The schedule for this role will be: Tuesday – Saturday, with Sunday and Monday off

Responsibilities:

Fulfill all aspects of upgrading a customer’s oncology information system (OIS), including: determining if a customer site is ready for an upgrade, planning for the upgrade, implementing new OIS software and testing after upgrade to ensure full functionality.

Analyze and define the process, assets and steps necessary to complete a successful upgrade.

Answer questions, provide expertise and keep the customer informed throughout the upgrade process.

Exceedingly document all upgrade steps following our client’s quality, regulatory and safety policies.

Ensure highly satisfied customers by taking responsibility for the successful completion of the OIS upgrade.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related subject; equivalent work experience will be considered

3+ years’ experience working within the Healthcare industry required

3+ years of experience with Microsoft desktop and server operating systems (certification preferred)

3+ years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server (certification preferred)

Experience with high-availability system architecture

Demonstrated experience with Citrix and related infrastructure and administration

Familiarity/proficiency with the following: Outlook, Word, Excel, WebEx, and SalesForce

Radiation Oncology and Medical Oncology experience strongly preferred, but not required

Ability to effectively interact with internal and external customers (via phone and face-to-face)

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Demonstrated capability for decision making, sound judgment and assertiveness

Weekend work will be required (eg: Tuesday - Saturday).
