Project Engineer
Description:
Mid-Continent Steel and Wire a division of Deacero USA, a leading steel product manufacturer, is seeking a skilled and motivated Project Engineer to join their team in the Mining & Metals industry. As a project engineer, you will play a critical role in leading and managing projects from inception to completion. You'll work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of projects to meet customer expectations. The ideal candidate must have excellent problem-solving skills, a hands-on approach to work, and a proven ability to manage complex projects.
Responsibilities
Develop project plans, timelines, budget, and resources to ensure project delivery within scope, budget, and timeline.
Lead project reviews, progress meetings, and conduct risk assessments to identify and mitigate project risks.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including operations, procurement, engineering, and quality control to ensure smooth project execution.
Manage all aspects of the project, including resource allocation, change management, and quality control.
Monitor project progress and forecast project costs to ensure adherence to budget and timeline.
Prepare project status reports for management and stakeholders to ensure visibility into project progress.
Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies, customer requirements, and industry standards.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Chemical Engineering.
Minimum of 5 years of project management experience in the Mining & Metals industry.
Proficiency in project management tools and techniques.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize workloads.
