Summary

As a Histology Technician, you will be a key member of the research team, contributing to the efficient operation of the necropsy and histology labs. This role focuses on the precise preparation of animal tissue samples for microscopic analysis, ensuring the accuracy and quality of histological data.

Major Duties & Responsibilities

Execute histological procedures to prepare animal tissue samples for microscopic examination, including processing, embedding, sectioning, and staining.

Maintain strict adherence to established protocols and quality control measures to ensure accurate and reproducible results.

Implement and enhance the 6S methodology (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain, Safety) for systematic workplace organization, promoting lab efficiency and organization with a strong focus on EHS.

Ensure the lab adheres to the highest standards of cleanliness, orderliness, and EHS practices.

Continuously improve lab organization and workflow, promoting a culture of innovation, efficiency, and EHS responsibility.

Engage in ongoing research and development activities, staying updated on the latest technology and methodologies in your field.

Contribute to the development of new research protocols and innovative approaches to advance the organization's research goals.

Ensure strict adherence to EHS policies and guidelines throughout all research activities.

Promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility among the research team.

Assist with the maintenance, calibration, and optimization of laboratory tools and instruments, promptly reporting malfunctions and ensuring they meet EHS requirements.

Requirements:

Bachelors degree

Previous histology experience in a laboratory setting
