Middleware Administrator

Location: Irving, TX

Duration: Full Time

Salary: Max - $100k/p.a. with Benefits

Onsite and 2 days in office must - No Remote

At least 5-7+ years of experience in IT with of IBM WebSphere Administration (WASND)/ IHS, Linux, Solaris, AIX and able to perform all L1, L2 and L3activities.

• Installing, configuring, and administering/managing WebSphere Application Server (WAS).

• Experience Trouble shooting of WAS environment and applications (Analyze JVM logs, Trace Logs, FFDC, native logs

• Experience in SSL configuration and SSL certificate upgrades though keytool and gskcmd.

• Performance tuning WAS, queuing, pooling, heap size and optimizing other JVM parameters

• Work with Application teams and development teams for with WebSphere Application server IHS Installing, Configuring, and integrating applications with Single-Sign On (SSO)

• Triaging and resolving issues with WebSphere and IHS.

• Should have JMS & JDBC Provider configuration experience in cluster environment.

• Involve in ongoing remediation of WebSphere, IBM HTTP Server and Security Vulnerability like VTM.

• Participating in an On-Call rotation of staff to support WAS Application Server and IHS.

• In addition, the group engages in setup, deploys, security management, capacity management, and will coordinate backup / restore and system recovery activities.

• Performance monitoring Conduct Troubleshooting to resolve WAS-ND problems

• Setup, configure WAS for high availability and maintenance, clustering, load balancing including backup and restore for WAS

Primary Skills (Must have ) - IBM WebSphere Administration (WASND) + IBM Http Server (IHS) expertise, WebLogic, Apache Tomcat with hands-on experience of working on Unix/Linux based systems.

Communication skills must be at par because it’s a client facing environment and the job requires getting into stressful triage calls with applications teams/clients all the time.

Tools – Working knowledge of “Service Now” and “Ansible” tools would be an advantage.

Secondary Skills – Unix SA skills/ Database / Apache Tomcat knowledge would be an additional advantage. (Not necessary though)
