Our workforce, like our technology, is rapidly expanding and looking for a qualified Mud Motor Technician.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The Mud Motor Technician is part of a proactive, motivated team accountable for safe, efficient, and on time delivery of the mud motor product line.

General

Ensure compliance with policy and procedures (R&M, HSE, Quality, Logistics, HR)

Health Safety and Environment

Actively participate in the HSE program.

Maintain safe, clean and organized workspace.

Repair and Maintenance

Disassembly / assembly of mud motor product line.

Utilize proper measuring equipment for each function.

Safely and efficiently utilize proper tooling to execute motor maintenance.

Complete related documentation.

Maintain complete tool maintenance records as required.

Accurately report inventory consumption.

Seek appropriate approval prior for component scrap.

Liaise with supervisors to identify 3rd party repair requirements.

Assure compliance with ISO 9001 requirements within the employee job scope.

Assure compliance with reliability objectives, root cause analysis and corrective actions.

Some repair and maintenance of plant equipment required.

Assist with physical asset / inventory counts.

Assist with maintenance of inventory and shop supplies.

Paint and stencil tools.

Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Logistics

Load and unload tools and equipment safely onto NDS & third-party trucks.

Ensure all necessary paperwork regarding incoming & outgoing shipments is completed in an accurate and timely manner.

Work in accordance with Nabors’ Safety procedures.

Quality / Reliability

Reduce service / maintenance related incidents / failures by liaising with management, quality and reliability personnel.

Participate in Service Quality process.

Analyze incidents / failures to identify root cause.

Ensure timely implementation of corrective actions for incidents / failures.

Actively develop quality culture.

Ensure compliance with quality management system.

Ensure utilization of proper measuring equipment for each function.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

High School Diploma or equivalent

Minimum 2 years related experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Mechanical related diploma preferred.

Ability to operate torque machine, overhead crane, forklift and other related equipment.

Previous industry related experience considered an asset.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS / PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS / WORKING CONDITIONS

Mechanical aptitude essential

Ability to interpret mechanical drawings

Ability to read and understand maintenance manuals

Computer literacy, including Windows and Microsoft Office experience beneficial

Ability to lift and carry 50lbs more than once a day

Extensive hours of standing (up to 12 hours)

Daily Operation of a Forklift

Manual effort and performance of repetitive tasks

Ability to travel to other NDS Locations
