Cost Accountant

The Richmond Group USA (TRG) is seeking an ambitious Cost Accountant for a leading manufacturer producing machine parts designed to keep our troops safe in Hampton, VA ! As this organization continues to grow and innovate, they want a self-starter to join their finance team and contribute to their ongoing success.

As their next Cost Accountant you will play a pivotal role in analyzing manufacturing processes, optimizing costs, and ensuring financial transparency across all operations.

You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to provide insightful financial analysis, develop cost-saving strategies, and support decision-making to drive profitability and operational efficiency.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred.

Proven experience in cost accounting within a manufacturing environment, with a strong understanding of standard costing principles.

Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.

Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) preferred.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.

Able to work independently.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
