JOB DESCRIPTION:

Commvault Professional Services help our customers to plan, design, implement and maintain extraordinary information management platforms to simplify and secure their backup and disaster recovery architecture and enhance the value of their data.

As the flagship role within the organization, the Solution Architect is expected to deliver a wide range of projects of all sizes and scopes, from small deployments or upgrades to large-scale consulting and design engagements.

Responsibilities:

Engage with customers to develop an understanding of their data and information management environment from a fresh, pragmatic perspective.

Use validated consultative methods to craft, implement and/or remediate solutions relating to Modern Data Protection, Multi-Cloud capability, Archive & Compliance, Ransomware/Disaster Recovery, and Operational Improvement.

Install and configure Commvault hardware and software following the design specifications provided to meet the customer’s technical and business requirements.

Assess customer readiness to determine if all the technical pre-requisites have been met to proceed with the next steps in a project.

Perform data migration tasks to transition the customer from the previous backup infrastructure to the new infrastructure.

Install and configure backup agents to protect the customers applications, databases, and hypervisors.

Work with the customer and Commvault technical support and/or development to solve any technical issues blocking progress.

Provide daily updates on the progress and obstacles to the Project Manager for the deployment.

Complete required documentation associated with client projects in a timely fashion, including User Acceptance Test Plans and As-Built Documentation.

Stay up to date on the latest methodologies to ensure the smoothest possible project delivery.

Assist / Work in collaboration with Technical Architect from regional theatres for our global customers

Ensure customer happiness throughout client engagements.

Requirements:

Native or equivalent Italian language as well as full business fluency in English.

Excellent communication etiquette, including strong verbal, written communication and listening skills.

Experience in Technical Support / Professional Services / Managed Services / Administration of enterprise backup and recovery software, hands-on Commvault experience

Ideally with Advanced Commvault Certification (Solutions Architect, Engineer, Master)

Strong knowledge & experience of Networking, Storage & Linux Operating System

Proficiency with TCP/IP networking, SCSI, iSCSI or Fibre Channel

Commvault implementation & troubleshooting experience

Proficiency with backup and recovery of Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, Teams)

Proficiency with backup and recovery of databases (Oracle, SAP/Oracle, SAP HANA)

Hands-on experience with object storage (AWS S3, NetApp StorageGRID), data archive and search, private cloud (VMware, Hyper-V) and public cloud (AWS, Azure)

Proficiency with Linux scripting
