Position Overview:

The Closing Coordinator is responsible for providing quality customer service by fulfilling three main objectives.

Provide prompt, consistent, and concise communication to all interested parties throughout the transaction. This includes generating outbound calls, fielding incoming phone calls, emails and performing systematic updates every Tuesday and Friday.

Promptly request and obtain necessary borrower documentation to fulfill all borrower conditions as required by the underwriter’s Loan Approval.

Manage timelines to guarantee CCM meets contractual obligations and serve as the main point of contact to all parties throughout the transaction to provide 5 Star Customer Service.

Job Responsibilities:

Validate loan has been preapproved by the internal branch PA department; contact borrowers and obtain additional borrower documentation required by PA if not approved; resubmit loan to obtain approved disposition from PA.

Follow up on obtaining disclosures back signed to enable the file to move for processing assignment.

Manage pipeline to include all initial services were ordered as needed to meet close dates.

Validate all data entered in LOS system is correct and matches the terms of the Purchase Contract, Lock and/or refinance terms.

Make outbound introduction phone calls to all parties as the main point of contact.

Communicate with the borrowers in advance to prevent possible delays: liquidating funds, vesting, title held in trust, using a POA, and schedule constraints that impact all parties being present to sign loan documents.

Request borrower conditions as stated on underwriter’s loan approval; review conditions from borrower to validate it meets the condition requested.

Label and save conditions of loan approval in branch shared drive and communicate to the processor that items have been obtained.

Communicate with all parties throughout the transaction to set expectations, ensure contractual dates are being met and loan is closing on time.

Facilitate signing of loan documents; facilitate signing of the CD in a timely fashion and educate borrower on timing and next steps for closing such as drawing loan documents, wiring funds, signing before a notary, etc.

Qualifications and Skills:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Minimum of 2 years’ residential mortgage processing experience with VA, FHA & Conventional loans.

Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Excellent organizational skills; ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.

Encompass experience, required.

Knowledge of DU, LP, Microsoft Outlook & Windows.

Working knowledge of RESPA and general knowledge of all mortgage and consumer lending regulations, and loan documents preferred.

Available to work varying hours and overtime if needed.

Pay Range:

$24.03-28.84 per hour. Eligible for per funded file incentive.

The posted pay range considers a wide range of compensation factors, including candidate background, experience and work location, while also allowing for salary growth within the position.
