Accounting Manager

An industry leading construction company in Haslet, TX is seeking a skilled and experienced Accounting Manager to manage financial operations for its utilities division! In this role, you will work closely with the CFO to handle a range of financial responsibilities, from daily bank reconciliations to monthly work-in-process reports to full-cycle month-end closures. They are looking for candidates with a strong background in construction accounting and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Sage Intact who are reliable, have strong integrity and value accountability and direct feedback. Salary Range: $90, 000 - $110, 000 / year DOE

Accounting Manager Requirements:

5+ years of experience in construction accounting, handling hands-on accounting tasks, job costing, and work-in-process reports

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with strong skills in formulas, pivot tables, and VLOOKUPs essential

Bachelor s degree in Accounting

Experience with Sage Intact is highly preferred

Previous experience working with audits is a plus

Must be capable of working in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment, and meet tight deadlines

Strong communication skills and the ability to maintain professional relationships remotely

Accounting Manager Responsibilities:

Oversee daily banking reconciliations and prepare monthly work-in-process reports

Responsible for closing out financial statements within 15 days after the end of each month

Manage intercompany transactions and ensure accurate financial reporting

Oversee full-cycle month-end close procedures, including preparation of debits, credits, and job costing

Liaise with external auditors as required, and ensure that all financial operations comply with statutory legislation and regulations
