Role Summary:

GTT has a proprietary OSS/BSS application that covers the quoting, ordering, provisioning, billing and ticketing of our customer telecommunications services. We are looking for a Software Engineer to add to our main development team.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Interactive requirements gathering and requirements engineering

Develop new modules/features of our OSS/BSS application

Coding of improvements/bugfixes based on support requests

Documentation of new features and processes

Required Experience/Qualifications:

At least 3 years of experience with Web application development in a modern Object Oriented language (preferably PHP, Java, Ruby, Go)

Strong background in Object Oriented design (knowledge of UML a plus)

Strong Database design and SQL optimization

Familiarity with Web technologies: HTML/CSS/JS

Proactive, can-do mentality, quick learner

Ability to collaborate in a very dynamic international work environment

Desirable Experience/Qualifications:

Fluent in English and in Italian

Experience with scaling a large Web Application

Familiarity with Linux

Familiarity with PostgreSQL

Qualifications/Courses:

Bachelor or master’s degree or equivalent in Engineering or Computer Science

Hours/Travel/Shift:

Office hours with occasional local and European travel.
