Position Summary:

The Sr Manager, External Reporting is responsible for managing all aspects of our external SEC reporting and technical accounting, as well as direct involvement and review of the consolidation process in BPC and ownership of certain internal reporting deliverables.

Major Job Accountabilities:

Manages the preparation of SEC filings, including Annual Form 10-K, Quarterly Form 10-Q and other required filings. Leverages monthly and quarterly business review materials in addition to other internal strategic publications to build a sound understanding of the business which enables ownership of MD&A section and all the footnotes to the financial statements.

Responsibility for detailed review of the financial statement disclosures, the tie-out information for notes to the financial statements, and completion of disclosure controls and procedures related to internal control over financial reporting.

Monitor the development and applicability of emerging accounting and reporting rules being deliberated by the SEC, US GAAP, PCAOB, or other regulations

Responsible for all equity accounting

Manage 401K audits

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address accounting considerations for business transactions

Support investor relations activities, including earnings releases and investor presentations

Assist in the evaluation and documentation of complex accounting transactions

Assist with ad hoc requests, special projects and other duties related to financial reporting and analysis, as assigned

Qualifications:

B.A/B.S. in Accounting

4+ years of accounting experience in external reporting

CPA preferred

Public Accounting experience preferred, with public company clients

Possess technical expertise related to GAAP and external reporting including, but not limited to, SEC reporting, lease accounting, intangible assets, revenue recognition and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements

Demonstrated recent experience in researching and preparing technical accounting memoranda for complex issues and new pronouncements

Experience with Active Disclosure software preferred

Airline experience a plus

Skills:

Must be able to demonstrate professionalism in communicating with various departments within the company

Highly organized individual with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness

Excellent analytical and problem solving skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Must have advanced knowledge in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, look-ups, complex formulas, etc.) and proficient in Microsoft Office suite

Ability to work independently and manage deadlines efficiently

Available to work extended hours as needed
