The BOH Team Lead is in charge of helping the overall operations of the back of house for their shift to ensure guest satisfaction by serving dishes of high quality while reducing food wastes. The BOH Team Lead is vital in securing processes and procedures to instill efficiency in the back of house and maintaining high team morale with staff development and growth in mind. A BOH Team Lead is expected to be the role model with the ability to complete hands-on tasks to ensure a smooth service. The ideal traits for this position would be a resourceful, process-oriented problem solver, who can communicate clearly while working in a fast-paced environment with great attention to detail and organizational skills.

What Are We Looking For?
1+ years of experience in a high volume kitchen or restaurant
1+ years of experience with employee management
Open and flexible availability, including evenings and weekends
Able to complete physically demanding tasks – standing for long periods, lifting 50 lbs, bending and reaching, etc.
Quick learner when it comes to technology, software, and kitchen operations
Excellent communication skills, organizational skills, and problem-solving skills
Summary of Responsibilities
Ensures all dishes that are served are visually appealing and cooked to perfection in a timely manner
Communicates with KM and AKM about concerns regarding stock levels, workflow, equipment and employee issues
Adheres to company standards in regards to portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards, kitchen rules, policies and procedures
Assists the AKM and KM with inventory by accurately counting stock, recording waste, entering inventory data, and reconciling invoices
Coordinates with FOH on guest complaints and escalations regarding allergies and food quality
Troubleshoots any problems that arise to keep a smooth service
Helps smoothly implement any new systems and menu items to ensure staff have the training necessary
Places accurate stock orders keeping shelf life and restaurant requirements in mind
Keeps accurate and detailed records of the workplace happenings through clear logbook entries
Assists the BOH team to achieve operations within budget
Acts as a role model for employees by upholding all standards, policies and operating systems
Trains BOH staff on prep, temperature logs, maintenance practices, etc
Completes tasks assigned by the KM and AKM while remaining accountable for the overall shift
Attends manager meetings as required and is prepared to participate by actively listening and encourages and includes the opinions of others
