SaSenior Accounting Manager Role at EnDyna

EnDyna is a small business working exclusively in the federal contracting space. EnDyna provides professional services to several federal agencies EnDyna’s customers are federal agencies as well as a few prime contractors and joint ventures. EnDyna has subcontractors, vendors, W2 employees and 1099 independent contractors. EnDyna’s main accounting function is outsourced to a local company. EnDyna uses Deltek GCS accounting and timesheet systems.

Senior Accounting Manager will work in the following systems:

Accounting system – Deltek GCS

Timesheet system – Deltek

401K portal

Hartford insurance portal

Banking checking account

Credit card accounts

Job Duties

Verify contracts are setup properly (only when new contracts/tasks are awarded or modifications are issued) – period of performance, contract work force, type (fixed price, T&M), labor categories, labor rates

Verify that employees are setup properly (when employee is hired, or a modification is made to salary, benefits or bonus) – salary, benefits, leave(s), deductions, employer contributions,

Verify that independent contractors are setup properly – rates, contracts working on

Verify that semi-monthly payroll (W2s and 1099s) is done correctly

Hours are correctly recorded at the correct pay rate

Payments are transferred to benefits providers, 401K plans, etc.

Payroll taxes are filed with the governments (periodically- potentially once a quarter) – federal and state; contact government agencies to resolve discrepancies, if any

Correct amounts of quarterly fees are paid to OASIS and GSA MAS contracts agencies

Review and analyze contract and task profitability

Flag contracts where we are not making requisite profit and analyze underlying factors

Review monthly invoices from (total 8-10) subcontractors- to ensure accuracy, budget vs. actual, subcontract vs. actual. Ensure subcontractor charged hours to labor categories appropriately, and stayed withing the budgetary bounds.

Review aged receivables – contact federal agencies and prime contractors for payments of aged receivables

Review monthly credit card transactions to ensure they are posted to the correct account; contact project managers or management to verify, if needed

Provide annual data collection to 401K third-party-administrators, health plan brokers

Periodic review of roster of insurance provider – health, LTD

Other accounting-related tasks as needed

Required Skills/Abilities:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Possession of strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills.

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Deltek accounting software.

Strong understanding of GAAP and its application to government contract accounting.

Comprehensive knowledge of government contracting regulations, including FAR, CAS, and DCAA requirements.

Proficient in financial analysis, cost accounting, and budgeting processes.

Experience with accounting software and ERP systems; familiarity with data analytic and visualization software is a plus.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required.

Proven experience (10+ years) working as an Accounting Manager with a focus on government contracts within a government contractor or similar organization.

CPA (Certified Public Accountant) highly preferred.

Salary Range: $120,000-140,000
