What You Will Do:

We are looking for a Software Technical Writer with marketing/branding experience – often called a technical communicator.

Create technical documentation, including user documentation, how-to guides, integration guides, diagrams, computer systems operation guides, and product specifications that increase the experience for the digital platform.

Work with other technical experts, such as engineers and software developers, to ensure that there is accurate and easy to understand in non-technical language.

Be responsible for creating such documents and weekly communications with customers as they understand the details of the information and factual evidence and how to present them to customers in a way that they will understand and appreciate.

What You Will Need:

Must be a US Citizen and must have the ability to obtain Public Trust clearance.

Minimum of four (4) years of proven experience in writing technical documentation

Prepare instruction manuals.

Create software documentation after a thorough collaboration with subject matter experts and technical staff.

Convert complex documentation to easy language for multiple audiences.

Create product manuals with screenshots and tutorials.

Must have experience in the use of Atlassian tools such as Jira and Confluence

Basic familiarity with SDLC and software development

Write documentation for internal teams such as developers and programmers.

Proven ability to develop product and marketing strategies and effectively communicate recommendations to executive management.

Work experience with Software Business Analysts

Analyze existing and potential content, focusing on reuse and single-sourcing opportunities.

Create and maintain the information architecture.

What Would Be Nice To Have:

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science Preferred, or other related disciplines or equivalent work experience.

Strong research and analytical skills

Disseminate technical information in concise, easy-to-understand language for a non-technical audience.

Ability and willingness to work independently with little oversight or direction in an Agile environment.

Excellent technical writing skills

Excellent verbal communication skills

Ability to undertake multiple projects and deliver on tight deadlines.

The annual salary range for this position is $75,800.00-$113,600.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
