What We'll Bring:Bachelor`s or higher degree in Computer Science or related field.

• Minimum 8 years of overall technology experience including Java, Spring framework, Hibernate, Maven or Gradle, Tomcat, Jboss.

• Experience building and upgrading SOAP and/or REST web services with Spring boot and Spring framework.

• Experience in maintaining Java enterprise level applications.

• Experience in resolving tech debt and maintain clean code using scan tools such as Sonar, Checkmarx, CheckmarxOne.

• Experience working with DB2/PostgreSQL databases.

• Working experience in delivering Java based enterprise level applications.

• Ability to create and maintain Unit and Integration test cases using Junit and Mockito.

• Hands on experience of Unix-based file systems

• Knowledge of version control using Git and hands on experience using git flow.

• Experience of using continuous integration tools such as Jenkins.

• Knowledge of code quality tools like Sonar, Checkmarx, Checkmarx One, Seeker

• Experience developing and updating SOAP and REST services with Spring framework and Spring boot.

• Knowledge of Agile Scrum and Jira

• Strong at understanding requirements and transforming business requirements into appropriate technical solutions.

• Experience interacting with business users to accurately understand their business area and their requirements.

• Experience in gated delivery pipeline for Java based applications.

• Focused work ethic, with openness and drive to explore new ideas and technologies.

• Excellent analytical skills and the ability to provide alternative solutions to technical problems.

• Good understanding of theories, methodologies and principals underlying software development including OOP design principles.

The incumbent will deliver solutions using JEE and Java Web applications across the TransUnion enterprise. As a member of an experienced software team, the Java Developer will help drive these solutions to provide a best in industry standard for quality, innovation, and efficiency. The Application Development supports TransUnion’s business and consumer systems by improving the efficiency of business operations, applications, and operating systems. • Partner with internal business resources and technical teams to analyze and implement requirements.

• Participate in development and deliver code with consistently good quality by following best coding practices considering performance of application.

• Collaborate with cross-functional technology teams.

• Ensure Transunion design patterns, frameworks, and architectural standards are implemented consistently across the organization.

• Accountability for quality of code and application development

• Mentor junior developers, fostering their professional growth and technical expertise.

This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.
