The Senior Accountant within Core Finance will play a key supporting role in the finance team to deliver timely data and decision support including posting journal entries, performing reconciliations, reports & maintaining appropriate documentation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide data analytics and transactional support to the Finance Business Areas

Provide analysis of system data, engineering stores and other to the business

Prepare key monthly reports to support decision making

Gather data for and uploads forecasts to business systems; performs checks to ensure accuracy of uploaded data

Provision of variance analysis vs. budget, flex budget, previous forecasts and prior year

Assist in period end close duties and perform activities related to the finance closes including posting journal entries, performing reconciliations, & maintaining appropriate documentation

Is directly responsible for the accuracy of the P&L and balance sheet

SKILLS & RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE

Required

University degree in Economics, Accounting or Finance

Minimum 3 years of experience in statutory accounting

Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Good command of Romanian and English (B2) - both speaking and writing

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred

Previous experience with accounting ERP’s, such as SAP, Microsoft Nav, etc.

Previous experience in tax compliance

CCF, CECCAR, ACCA, CIMA - completed or in progress
