Process Engineer

Role Summary:

We are looking for a welding engineer to be responsible for managing welding projects and supervising the welding team. The responsibilities of a welding engineer include providing consulting services, coordinating multiple projects, and overseeing the welding procedure.

Key Responsibility:

Investigate welding related issues to improve product performance and increase productivity

Design welded parts, assemblies and structures such as buildings, pressure vessels, and pipelines

Develop repair procedures and assess flaws to determine the fitness-for-service of structures

Develop standards, materials, weld joint design, and welding processes

Develop welding process procedure qualification, supplier qualification, and product testing

Key Qualifications / Requirements

Organized and detail oriented

Highly motivated and self-directed

Analytical thinker and problem-solver

Excellent communication, writing, and computer skills

Ability to create, design, and analyze blueprints and drawings

Knowledge and Education:

Bachelor’s degree in welding engineering, welding engineering technology, or similar, AWS Certified Welding Inspector, AWS Certified Welding Engineer preferred.

Solid leadership skills

Strong organizational and administrative skills.

Computer literate.

Work Experience:

Mig weld experience working with VW, BMW highly preferred.

Work experience, ideally within a manufacturing environment. Automotive industry preferred.
