Responsibilities:
The Cyber Security Engineer (CSE) will support the customer working to integrate and customize COTS, legacy custom SW capabilities, and architecture improvements in the program. This consists of assisting the customer by providing engineering support to personally assess cyber security needs and work with project teams that are responsible for all aspects of the development and maintenance of an enterprise system. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Evaluating security risks of applications, systems, and networks
Developing, writing, and maintaining Security Plans for complex applications
Demonstrated experience engineering security solutions for medium-to-large complex IT development efforts involving both software and hardware
Assist in implementing data protection levels and encryption standards
Providing technical direction in implementing defense in depth strategies for sensitive workloads
Identifying deficiencies/weaknesses discovered in customers’ systems and recommend corrective actions to address identified vulnerabilities and non-compliance of systems, including infrastructure
Utilizing applications and AWS services to support audit and continuous monitoring functions to ensure the security posture of system
Performing insider threat mitigation and alignment to NIST Standards
Qualifications:
Must possess and be able to maintain a TS/SCI clearance with polygraph
BS 10-12, MS 8-10, PhD 5-7
Demonstrated experience evaluating security risks of applications, systems, and networks
Demonstrated experience working with the customers’ security testing tools and mechanisms
Well-versed in Amazon Web Services (AWS) technologies and architecture
12 years’ experience, 3 years in IC required, 15 years' experience desired
Ability to convey technical information to non-technical individuals
Ability to work in a dynamic and challenging environment
Strong oral and written communications and interpersonal skills
Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP)
Demonstrated ability to multi-task and work independently, self-starter
