Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Marine Structural Welders for a project located in or around Newport News, VA. This is a full time opportunity and the pay rate is up to $50/hour based on experience plus $120/Per Diem to Travelers 60+ miles from the job site. and want to work alongside other proven craftsmen who emphasize safety, productivity and superior craftsmanship, this is your chance to advance your career!

Job Scope:

Multi-Pass, All Position Fillet and Butt Welds using the SMAW Shielded Metal Arc Process

Fuse Inserts and Weld Carbon Steel, Stainless Steel, and Copper Nickel Pipe using SMAW and GTAW Gas Tungsten Arc Welding Processes

Mirror Weld using SMAW and GTAW Processes

Heating Oxygen/Propane Heating Torch

Requirements:

4+ Years Naval Shipyard Experience as a First Class Welder

Familiarity with OSHA regulations relative to the shipbuilding industry

Pass Drug Screen, Background Check, Physical and Respirator Fit Test

Pass a Variety of Welding Tests

Open to Working any Shift

Experience working in a physically demanding environments; Shipboard, Sub-Assemblies, Ladders Staging, etc.

Ability to properly use Fillet Gauges, Butt Gauges, and 6" Scale
