Supply Chain Analyst/Planner Food and Beverage Industry Reports To: Manager of Finance & Supply Chain Scope of the Position: The Supply Chain Analyst is responsible to plan, schedule, and monitor the movement of materials through the production cycle, by determining requirements for production based on forecasts, and requirements planning.

This position is accountable for the procurement business systems data input and integrity, creation of bills of material, and component/finished goods numbers within the inventory management software.

The position generates the weekly production plan/schedule.

In addition, the Analyst will gather data and conducts analysis with the goal of improving the organization's supply chain operations, including work to identify underperforming areas within the supply chain, suggest improvements to trending problems, and take the necessary action to implement resolutions.

Major Responsibilities: Material Planning - 30% · Forecast and manage products for assigned categories and suppliers.

· Coordinate the purchase of raw materials and distributed goods with internal and external suppliers to ensure the timely completion for new and existing products.

· Determine quantities and delivery dates for all raw materials and distributed goods.

· Review forecast plans for optimal in-stock levels, plan safety stock quantities and reorder points.

· Process purchase orders for approval and entry into the inventory management software and distribute to suppliers as required.

· Communicate with Suppliers on confirmation of quantity/delivery.

Update Purchase Order information as needed.

· Track incoming shipments from domestic and international suppliers.

· Update and maintain delivery dates in the inventory management system based on supplier production schedules.

· Enter new and maintain existing product information in the inventory management system.

· Cost control, verify product costs are current and accurate in the system.

Production Planning - 30% • Planning, scheduling, and coordinating production of the company’s products.

• Daily Management reporting highlighting prior days production, customer requirements and ongoing trends.

• Evaluating raw materials and equipment to ensure everything is in place for production.

• Scheduling shifts and headcount requirements for Operations Leadership.

• Watching costs to ensure the production process stays within budget.

• Reporting on the production status and any production issues to upper management.

• Handling production disruptions and productivity problems.

• Finding ways to improve productivity and reduce costs.

• Using market forecasts and competitive analysis to anticipate necessary production change.

Supply Chain Analysis - 20% • Track incoming shipments from domestic and international suppliers.

• Work with brokers requesting FDA/customs information for international shipments.

• Expedite shipments as needed.

• Conduct regular freight cost analysis of current and potential shipping partners.

• Supplier Performance and monitoring, review scorecards, on-time delivery, and quality assurance.

• Ensure responsive action to internal customer service, shipping/receiving, and QA.

• Engage in ongoing meetings with suppliers to discuss business relations and build trusted partnerships.

• Determine supplier risk, new and existing.

• Supplier development and continuous improvement.

Projects - 20% • Supply Chain Continuous improvement initiatives (including ERP implementation). • Member of cross functional team (Operations, Quality Assurance and Supply Chain) on quality improvement or cost saving initiatives.

• Member of product development team, supporting the material sourcing, specification reporting and costing.

• RFQ project team member on RFQ for raw materials and/or freight partners.

• Develop and submit reports that demonstrate supply chain and inventory performance.

• Miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Education & Experience: · Supply Chain Management degree and/or equivalent experience.

· Previous production planning experience.

· Knowledge and proficiency in business writing.

· Proficiency in MS Office Suite of products, namely Excel.

· Ability to multi-task and manage multiple project requests simultaneously.

· Organization and communication skills.

· Ability to work independently or as a team member.
