Accounting Assistant

About the Job:

Under the general supervision of the manager, is responsible for performing daily accounts receivable and payable activities ensuring proper records are kept and reports generated. Posts payments received and reconciles activities such as in the e-commerce store. The position requires a high degree of attention to detail and the ability to follow company accounting guidelines.

Key Contributions

1. Accounts Receivable

a. Serves as the gatekeeper or A/R claims and the remittance inbox.

b. Prepare claim voucher for approval and issue to the customer.

c. Reconciles e-commerce store activities.

d. Provide invoices and statements to customers.

2. Accounts Payable

a. Serves as the gatekeeper for the A/P inbox.

b. Generate voucher for payment processing

c. Review and reconcile company credit card transactions.

d. Prepare month-end accrual list

3. Cash Control

a. Prepare daily cash flow report.

b. Post daily cash receipts.

4. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

- 3 or more years of general accounting experience in areas such as: payroll, accounts payable/receivable, cash management and human resources support.

- A Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or finance is preferred.

- Experience with SAP R3 or Microsoft Business Central will be a plus.
