The Fingerprint Technician will serve as a shared team member for multiple divisions within the company, with the primary responsibility of capturing fingerprints for employees and volunteers for AACPS. This position will also assist the department with daily functions by providing exceptional administrative support and excellent customer service.
Essential Job Duties
Assisting applicants via email/telephone/in person
Scheduling appointments
Processing payments
QC Applicant’s Paperwork
Fingerprinting applicants (does not require prior knowledge)
Must be trained to fingerprint and must pass the fingerprint training course provided by the State of Maryland
Traveling to off-site locations to perform fingerprinting services within in the AACPS / PGCPS school district
Disposition research cross training responsibilities to include:
Quickly & effectively research information online for court records
Thoroughly review the court records to gather needed information
Enter gathered information into spreadsheet for leadership review
Maintain in-depth working knowledge of departmental guidelines & processes
Education & Qualification Requirements
High School Diploma or GED Required.
Must pass a thorough background check to include fingerprinting
Required to pass a certified fingerprint technician course through the State of Maryland.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office required
Able to multitask efficiently and effectively
Bilingual- Spanish is a plus but not required
Notary is a plus but not required
Strong attention to detail
Highly organized
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work in fast-paced environment
High level of customer services, regularly interacts with customers
Proficiency with general computer/system navigation
This is an onsite position traveling within the AACPS/PGCPS school districts
