We are intensively looking for pro-active Software Testing Engineer to join Navigational Simulator team. The candidate will work on market lead product Navi-Trainer Professional that actively in use for seafarers’ education in thousands maritime academies around the globe. The reason of hiring is active business and development team grow.
You will work in Scrum team on complex distributed system with tasks in many different domains from visual system to hardware integrations. The team believes in incremental delivery and work in close collaboration with customers.
Company-wide communications are in English. We strive to use only English for written technical communication.
This is a permanent role, the location is in Belgrade, Serbia or Helsinki, Finland
What you will do:
Participation in testing for navigational simulator
Manual testing
Analysis of test results
Creation of test cases, checklists and automated testing scenarios
Localizing and documentation of defects
Simulation of situations leading to errors, their reproduction
Monitoring bug fixes
Preparation and support of test documentation (test plans, checklists, test cases, errors) and testing methods
Analyse defects before handing them over to developers
To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:
Knowledge and understanding of different software testing and development methodologies, understanding of software development and testing process
Test design
Experience in Smoke testing, functional, regression and integration testing
Communicability
Knowledge of operating system Windows
English at intermediate level or higher
Will be a plus:
Basic knowledge of network configuration
Basic knowledge of programming languages: Python
Experience in stress testing, writing simple autotests
Experience in automating testing of integration solutions
