Job Description
Position Summary: The stock control associate manages inventory through database and maintains levels required on a daily basis to meet distribution demands.
Essential Functions:
• Performs any combination of following tasks to compile records concerned with ordering, receiving, storing, issuing, and shipping materials, supplies, and equipment: Compiles data from sources, such as contracts, purchase orders, invoices, requisitions, and accounting reports and writes, types, or enters information into computer to maintain inventory, purchasing, shipping, or other records
• Keeps back order file in established sequence and releases back orders for issue or shipment as stock becomes available.
• Compiles stock control records and information, such as consumption rate, characteristics of items in storage, and current market conditions, to determine stock supply and need for replenishment.
• Prepares requisitions, orders, or other documents for purchasing or requisitioning new or additional stock items.
• Compares nomenclature, stock numbers, authorized substitutes, and other listed information with catalogs, manuals, parts lists, and similar references to verify accuracy of requisitions and shipping orders.
• Reviews files to determine unused items and recommends disposal of excess stock.
• Enter data for quantities of parts issued and transferred between locations, inventory and cycle count adjustments, into computer database.
• Close shop packets received and purge computer database.
• Receive and issue finished goods into computer database.
• Troubleshoot quantity discrepancies with manufacturing and inspection personnel.
• Record and monitor all items with shelf-life daily and notify appropriate personnel when material has expired.
• Prepare monthly reports for cycle count and pick-lists count for monthly highlights.
• Prepare and participate in yearly physical inventory.

• Must possess strong mathematical aptitude.
• Must be able to prioritize multiple responsibilities and manage time effectively.
• Must be computer literate in all Microsoft Office products.
• Must be able to communicate in English with regard to the essential functions of the position.
Required Experience and Education:
• High school diploma or GED.
• One year of prior warehouse experience.
• Prior forklift experience preferred, but not required.
Physical Demands:
• Must be able to lift, carry, push and/or pull 50 lbs.
• Requires visual, hearing, and speech acuity.
• Requires the ability to stand and walk long distances for extended periods of time.
• Exposure to extreme temperatures and elements, noise, and fumes.
