Position Summary:

FOR OCTOBER HIRE

We are seeking a Medical Assistant & Scribe to join our team. In this role, you will:

Gather and document information about clients for their doctors visits. Responsibilities include printing lab reports, completing summaries of treatment sessions, charting doctors appointments, and operating electronic health records.

Assist in organizing and scheduling appointments

Update medical charts

Assist the physician during consultations and examinations

Liaise with other medical offices

Prepare and clean treatment rooms and medical instruments

Promote, present and educate patients regarding the practice's plastic reconstructive, dermatologic and cosmetic services

Communicate with patients by phone and in person while assisting the clinical and surgery scheduling team with patient care.

Provide a high level of basic administrative patient support to clinical staff and management.

Thorough training will be provided in all aspects, therefore no experience in plastic or cosmetic surgery is necessary

Impeccable presentation and communication skills are essential to the success of this position.As Training is provided, experience in ALL of the above area is not essential. Candidates are to demonstrate a willingness to learn and adapt.

A background of 1-4 years as a Medical Assistant, Scribe or Admin Support in a patient centered office, (dermatology, plastic surgery, cosmetic surgery, medical spa, dental would be considered a plus. Those coming from a different specialty medical office are welcome to apply as well as those with 1-3 years experience in a retail sales environment.

Primary Responsibilities

Documenting patients visits by taking notes and entering them in the electronic health records system

Assisting providers in patient visits and consultations

Collaborate with the clinical team to ensure consistent and comprehensive patient documentation

Coordinate with physician to complete and submit medical records

Communicate professionally with patients, doctors, and healthcare staff

Complete administrative tasks as requested in regards to faxing, scheduling, insurance eligibility checks prior authorizations and other patient related visit tasksQualifications

Medical Assistant certification or equivalent

High school diploma/GED or equivalent

Previous experience as a Medical Scribe or in a similar position

Ability to take detailed notes and accurate documentation

Strong computer and transcription skills

Ability to adhere to strict confidentiality requirements

Highly organized with excellent time-management skills

Ability to work well under pressureFull Time & Part Time Offered
