Stamping Press Set up

Job Description

Perform coil changes - align the die, steel, feeder, etc. and secure the equipment.

Adjust press, feed, coil height, knockout, as required to obtain inspection approval and safe operation..

Run progressive stamping press

Perform related labor as required to clean up, set up, and organize. Return the dies and materials to the proper location.

Responsible to ensure that all safety and quality start-up procedures are followed.

Responsible to perform all required quality checks utilizing gauges and other measuring devices.

Obtain first piece approval before die set is complete.

Responsible to accurately report production in electronic reporting system.

Responsible to communicate with team members (Supervisor, Quality, Co-workers) on any issues with the machines. Have an understanding of what the cause of the issue is and which team member to inform. (Maintenance, Quality)

Knowledge and Education

1 + years of production press experience with metal stamping dies, including progressive and single hit dies or welding / machining experience.

Hard working, dependable, motivated for success

Ability to perform manual labor such as bolting dies into presses.

Good mechanical skill set.

Results-oriented team player, excellent attendance, high energy level and good attention to detail.

Ability to operate heavy equipment safely.

Ability to use gauges, tooling and other equipment used in die setting.
