All workstreams are working in parallel to implement actions and scale up of engagement and resources across the House.

This is an important role based in Hong Kong within the House to actively promote the sustainability program and to achieve sustainability objectives in various parts of an asset project. This role will work closely with internal stakeholders such as Real Estate, In-house interior and architecture designers, and project managers on topics relating to:

Technical negotiation and engagement with the landlord on sustainability topics

Sustainable engineering programs such as decarbonisation, retro-commissioning, asset enhancement works and pilot/flagship projects

This role will drive solutioning, testing, and integration of sustainability practices into market operations, driving the change of the culture and ways of working, through hands-on involvement with regional & market stakeholders.

Provide Sustainable Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) expertise to internal stakeholders through:

Advise and guide the assessment of MEP on infrastructure projects, on aspects such as sustainability, operational resilience, and reliability.

Assess drawings, specifications and conduct periodic site visits

Support project teams in maintaining the highest level of quality by ensuring accuracy of as-built drawings, and as-built MEP infrastructures meet minimum performance standards, including compliance with prevailing regulatory codes.

Provide insight on emerging issues pertaining to sustainability and MEP.

Assist project teams in analyzing risks and opportunities and propose improvement plans.

Support technical initiatives such as the development of technical design standards, playbooks, or templates to facilitate cross-markets and regional knowledge sharing of industry best practices and market trends.

Keep abreast of the latest trends and advancements in the sustainability field through research and analysis on market trend for green buildings, green building certification, and keeping up to date with prevailing regulatory compliance, as part of future proofing the House’s assets.

Responsible for planning, coordinating, monitoring, and driving sustainable built environment activities across all stakeholders, with a focus on time, cost and quality while following regional guidelines and methodologies.

Educate and engage internal and external stakeholders, including cross-functional & markets leaders and landlords, on the importance of the House’s sustainability vision. This includes facilitating workshops and training sessions to advocate sustainable practices.

As part of the APAC Sustainability team, provide input to identify, develop and implement sustainability projects across the region, in the area of sustainable built environment.

What can you bring to the team…

At least 8-10 years’ post training experience, preferably including maintenance and/or design of critical engineering infrastructure and conversant with environmentally sustainable design for regional / multi-countries initiatives, global/regional workstreams, processes and execution

Bachelor or Master’s in Engineering or engineering science focused degree or equivalent mechanical/electrical qualification(s).

An experienced LEED Green Associate or LEED Accredited Professional and/or certified energy manager recognized by an internationally recognized institution (e.g. US Green Building Certification Institute or Association of Energy Engineers or Building Construction Authority).

Experienced in managing end-to-end project life cycles involving multiple stakeholders, as well as external vendors/consultants

Willingness to travel as required.

Proven experience working in complex, matrixed organizations with interactions with global and regional stakeholders, facilitating conversations on topics involving different subject matter experts; progress discussions, derive insights and translate these to action steps.

Confident and articulate presenter

Able to build strong relationships and be a trusted advisor.

Proactive, resourceful, and comfortable working independently.

Excellent communication skills, collaborative and learning agility.

Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel; other analytics/visualization tools would be a bonus.

Excellent problem-solving skills, comfortable working with numbers/quantitative models.

Commercial acumen, connecting the dots to business solutions.
