Salary Range: $73,810 - $105,575

Qualifications:

Must have Master’s degree in Mathematics, Special Education with a concentration in Mathematics, or related field.

Position Overview:

Special Education Math Teacher for District of Columbia International School to work at our Washington, DC loc.

Instruct students (grades 9-12) w/ IEPs.

Write, deliver + monitor IEPs.

Provide behavioral support to students w/Tier 3 behaviors + special education classification.

Instruct Math Approaches + Interpretations course for IB Diploma Programme.

Conduct special education meetings + case management functions.

Collab w/ general education teachers + related service providers, incl education leadership.

Keep current on OSSE regs + initiatives.

Advocate + plan transition for students w/ disabilities.

Comm w/ parents + students through variety of mediums.

Advise students, incl teaching advisory class w/ school curriculum, + support school’s instructional program.

Lead + participate in cultural activities for faculty + students.

Implement 1:1 Chromebook technology program.

Occ eve + wknd hrs.

May undergo background checks.
