Role: Provide assistance in processing and maintaining all Information Systems areas, including printers, workstations, help desk and in-house system and network system. Assist in all aspects of end user support.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

Responsible for first line of help desk support for all credit union supported hardware and software

Ensures printers, workstations, desktop software are maintained and upgraded with the latest patches while performing system troubleshooting.

Act as Credit Union contact for printer and workstation maintenance vendor and assist with negotiating and maintaining hardware and software contracts and other departmental projects as needed.

Evaluate, procurement, and set up of new equipment.

Perform backup duties in the absence of Network Manager, Telecom Manager and SVP of Information Technology.

Performance Measurements:

To assure prompt response to and recovery from systems and network related production interruptions, across multiple hardware platforms, networks and operating systems.

To identify opportunities to improve services to the company and/or its customers through use of new products and technologies.

To anticipate system and network security/integrity risks and assure adequate safeguards.

To ensure that network users, user environment and directories are established, updated and maintained on a regular basis.

To provide friendly, professional and accurate service and support to all members and associates.

Knowledge and Skills:

Experience -Three years to five years of similar or related experience.

Education - (1) A bachelor's degree, or (2) achievement of formal certifications recognized in the industry as equivalent to a bachelor's degree (e.g. information technology certifications in lieu of a degree).

Interpersonal Skills - Work involves contact with persons beyond immediate associates regarding routine matters for the purpose of giving or obtaining information which may require some discussion. Outside contacts take the form of service to the public (members or vendors), requiring ordinary courtesy in providing assistance and information.
