Job Description
CareSTL Health is seeking full-time a Registration Clerk responsible for completing the patient registration process by collecting patient demographic information and insurance coverage.
Duties:
Determines appropriate fees based on a sliding fee scale and establishes payment plans
Scans documents into patients' electronic record
Verifies and documents all forms of insurance coverage and maintains appropriate information in patient's electronic record
Interviews patients and document necessary demographic information as well as review appropriate policies and regulations including HIPAA
Prepares daily deposits and reconciles tally sheets
A Successful Candidate:
Good computer skills including MS Office Suite is required
Ability to type at least 30 wpm with 80% accuracy or better required
Qualifications:
Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
Experience: 1-2 years experience in a health care setting as a Registration Clerk or related field. 1-2 years experience in customer service which included the collection of data.
Other: Must have reliable transportation.

Additional Information:
Clinic hours are Monday - Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
