Consumer outdoor products manufacturer based in Seattle, WA, is seeking a Controller to spearhead their Accounting team. The role will partner with the CFO and oversee accounting, financial operations, team management, compliance, and strategic financial planning.

Responsibilities:

Develop and lead an Accounting team of 5.

Review financial statements, reports, and data in compliance with GAAP, including variance and cash flow analysis.

Collaborate with the CFO on annual budgeting, reporting, and financial analysis.

Manage monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings.

Handle various tax considerations, including state and local taxes.

Implement and supervise internal controls, streamline processes, and leverage accounting systems for efficiency.

Extract and analyze financial, cost accounting, and revenue data.

Work closely with the CFO, leadership team, and external auditors.

Requirements:

Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in accounting.

Proficiency in accruals and GAAP accounting.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.

CPA certification or prior experience in public accounting is advantageous.

Previous industry experience in Manufacturing, Retail, or Consumer Goods is preferred.

Demonstrated experience in team development and leadership.

Familiarity with Dynamics 365 or cloud-based accounting systems is a plus

Professional demeanor, self-motivation, and strong communication skills.

Compensation and Benefits:

Base salary up to $165,000 to $185,000 depending on experience, and discretionary bonus

Benefits package including medical, dental, vision (MDV), 401K, and Paid Time Off (PTO).

Eligibility for annual bonuses.
