International Gourmet Foods, Inc. (IGF) services restaurants, gourmet markets, clubs, caterers, bakeries, country clubs, breweries, wineries, and hotels throughout the eastern United States. The Facilities Specialist is responsible for building and grounds maintenance, the installation and maintenance of equipment and machinery, ensuring appropriate (permitted) use of infrastructure and equipment, and overseeing construction projects. The Facilities Coordinator works closely with the Director of Operations and third-party vendors to minimize building and equipment maintenance and offers support in these areas to IGF’s branch locations. Under direction, the Facilities Coordinator plans, directs, and coordinates constructions, maintenance, and repair of building, equipment, and facility grounds.Duties and Responsibilities
Maintain the facility, equipment, and grounds to ensure a safe, clean, compliant, and functional environment
Review work orders submitted by staff to prioritize, schedule, and oversee repairs to buildings, equipment, and grounds
Oversee, locate, inspect, troubleshoot, and initiate necessary facility maintenance, including drywall, electrical, HVAC, grounds, light plumbing, painting, roofing, snow removal work, and other maintenance as necessary
Maintain inventory of in-house maintenance supplies; reorder as needed; track the cost of supplies for budgeting and planning purposes
Receive all new equipment; properly inspect and record all pertinent information prior to putting into service
Oversee equipment maintenance: ensure all equipment is in proper working order and available for use; draft and implement preventative equipment maintenance schedules
Coordinate with the Safety Officer to ensure IGF staff follow and enforce all building- and equipment-related safety standards
Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications (Required)
Experience in general contracting, including drywall, electrical, framing, plumbing, and masonry work
Qualified to work on HVAC systems
OSHA compliance knowledge for warehouse safety
Project management experience or skills
Flexible to accommodate other perspectives
Proactive, quick-thinking, problem-solving approach to work
Ability to work independently or as part of a diverse team diverse team, especially building cross-departmental collaboration in a fast passed environment—changing gears when required, whether multitasking or adapting working hours

Recognized certifications in HVAC, electrical, and plumbing maintenance
Bilingual communication skills (English and Spanish)Physical Requirements
